It is said that the People of the Wagons dress both themselves, and their slaves like few others upon Gor..
the slaves belonging to those of the Wagons will rarely be found garbed as most other slaves..
silk cladden slaves are at times present, but mostly within only their Masters Wagons, for it would be highly impractical for their lifestyle..
due to the conditions of weather changes, often times drasticand extremely harsh, the Tuchuks often allowed their slaves to wear leathers and furs, including footwear..

~Typical Wear of the Wagon Males~

The basic wear of the Men of the Wagon People consisted of clothing which would need to handle rough everyday wear and tear, unlike the Men of the cities who wore tunics and robes.
The Men of the Plains clothing was mainly made of Bosk hide leather and the fur of the shaggy coat of the same beast.
Leather pants
Quilted jacket trimmed with fur and a collar
Leather jerkin (A tight sleeveless and collarless shirt)
Boots made of hide, trimmed with fur
Wide 5 buckled belt
Helmets lined with fur with colored chains protecting his face
Wind scarf made of thin hide
Leather gloves
(During the harsh winters, warmer fur lined clothing was worn.)
the Clan of Torturers would also don the robes of red and black

"I could see he carried a small rounded shield, glossy, black, lacquered: he wore a conical, fur rimmed iron helmet, a net of colored chains depending from the helmet protecting his face, leaving only holes for the eyes. He wore a quilted jacket and under this a leather jerkin; the jacket was trimmed with fur and had a for collar; his boots were made of hide and also trimmed with fur; he had a wide, five-buckled belt. I could not see his face because of the net of chain that hung before it. I also noted, about his throat, now lowered, there was a soft leather wind scarf which might, when the helmet and veil was lifted, be drawn over the mouth and nose, against the wind and dust of his ride. ~Free Womens Finery~

the Women of the Wagons wore NO veils..
regardless of being Free, the women wore thin gold rings within their nose, just like the Bosk and the slaves..
silk was not permitted upon the bodies of the Women, for it was considered to be the yearnings of a slave at heart to do so..
the long leather skirts that the Women wore were most times slit up the right side to allow for ease of movement to ride upon the kaiila..
a sleeveless leather blouse..
a cape would aid in the protection against the elements..
soft, tanned hide boots
the Free Women of the Wagon People wore their hair most often braided

"Tuchuk women, unveiled, in their long leather dresses, long hair bound in braids, tended cooking pots hung on tem-wood tri-pods over dung fires. These women were unscarred, but like the bosk themselves, each wore a nose ring. That of the animals is heavy and of gold, that of the women also of gold but tiny and fine, not unlike the wedding rings of my old world."Nomads, page 27

"...free women, incidentally, among the Wagon Peoples are not permitted to wear silk; it is claimed by those of the Wagons delightfully I think, that any women who loves the feel of silk of silk on her body is, in the secrecy of her heart and blood , a slave girl, whether or not some Master has yet forced her to don the collar." ~Slave Attire~

mistrust of the Wagon slaves would result in them being belled..
a tiny golden ring was afixed within the nose of the slaves..
the sirik was a commonly seen form of 'attire' amongst the Wagon slaves..
only after a slave had earned their Masters complete trust could they be 'clad kajir or kes'*..
at times, a few of the slaves would be placed within a Turian camisk..
at NO time is the female slave permitted to wear her hair braided nor dress it in anyway, other than by the wearing of the koora..

*to be clad kajir simply means the wearing of four articles:
the chatka, a black, approximately five foot length of leather, worn breech clout fashion
the curla, a cord of red that tied tight and secure about her hips
the kalmak, a black brief leather vest,
and the koora, a red length of material permitted to hold back the slave girls hair..
to be clad kes, the male slave was permitted a short, sleeveless work tunic of black leather..

during the harsh inclement weather, both male and female slaves were often permitted to wear coats and boots of fur and leather, the unbraided hair of the females denoting the slave status, along with the ko'lar often times being worn atop the collar of the coat
the male slave would often times be seen with a chain attached to their ankle

"The Wintering was not unpleasant, although, even so far north, the days and nights were often quite chilly; the Wagon Peoples and their slaves as well, wore boskhide and furs during this time; both male and female, slave or free, wore furred boots and trousers, coats and the flopping, ear-flapped caps that tied under the chin; in this time there was often no way to mark the distinction between the free woman and the slave girl, save that the hair of the latter must needs be unbound; in some cases of course, the Turian collar was visible, if worn on the outside of the coat, usually under the furred collar; the men too, free and slave were dressed similarly, save that the Kajiri, or he-slaves wore shackles, usually with a run of about a foot of chain." Nomads, page 59

~Brand of the Tuchuks~

the brand of the Tuchuk reflected their reverance of their mighty bosk..
as the case of all brands, the Master chose the location that He desired..
most times, Masters did not brand their own, but called one from the Clan of Iron Masters to do so..

"the brand of the four bosk horns, set in such a manner as to somewhat resemble the letter "H," is only about an inch high; the common Gorean brand, on the other hand, is usually an inch and a half to two inches high; the brand of the four bosk horns, of course, is also used to mark the bosk of the Tuchuks, but their, of course, is much larger.."
